The purpose of this website, my book, and the Community Education course I teach at the College of Marin, is to teach people how to live a vibrant, meaningful life through the cultivation of self-empowerment and self-efficacy. In this weekly Q&A column, I post questions from students and from people who attend my presentations along with my answers.

Here is this week’s question:

QUESTION: Say more about symbiotic relationships between mind and body.

ANSWER: A symbiotic relationship between mind and body is a relationship whereby you train the mind to pay back the body for keeping you alive and taking care of you. This means choosing to feed your body nutrient-dense food and exercising it enough every day. It also means working to provide it with sufficient quality sleep and stress management. This symbiotic relationship also includes providing your mind with quality relationships with people and pets.
