The purpose of this website, my book, and the Community Education course I teach at the College of Marin, is to teach people how to live a vibrant, meaningful life through the cultivation of self-empowerment and self-efficacy. In this weekly Q&A column, I post questions from students and from people who attend my presentations along with my answers.
Here is this week’s question:
QUESTION: Would you say more about the purpose of the Mindful Biology meditation you described last week?
ANSWER: Meditating on the intelligence and wonder of our bodily processes leads to an appreciation for the powerful relationship we can each experience with the body. Of course, it is the mind—a product of the brain—that is in relationship with the body, of which the brain is just one part, albeit the most essential part—the part that directs the rest of the body.
