In a study at Baylor College of Medicine, researchers divided of group of patients who needed arthroscopic knee repair into two groups. One group got the arthroscopic surgery. The other group got sham surgery, whereby the holes were made for the scopes, but no scope was actually inserted. This second group did not receive any type of knee repair. Two years later, the group that receive the real surgery and the group that received the sham surgery had identical results in terms of symptoms. Both groups of patients were equally pleased with the results.

What healed the knees of the sham surgery patients? This is the power of the mind to effect actual physiological, anatomical healing.
