Here is this week’s question:

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION:  I enjoyed your presentation but having read your book, I was surprised that you talked quite a bit about tai chi, because I don’t remember seeing that topic in your book.

ANSWER:   I have talked and written very little about tai chi. However, after resuming the teaching of tai chi for the first time in over thirty years, my interest in it has been revived considerably. In my twenties and thirties I had been interested in tai chi chuan as a martial art. Now, in my late 60s, I am understandably much more interested in its health benefits. For that reason, I will be writing and teaching about it much more from now on.

Tai chi chuan and Taoist philosophy have much to offer in terms of not only stress reduction, but general health and wellbeing. Most importantly, it is a practice that puts us back in harmony with the laws of nature.
